Mantra and Yoga Nidra – Saturday 8th August, 4-5.30pm (Online)

After a successful first workshop in October, based on lots of positive feedback Astrid and Anna are delighted to be bringing back another joyful session of mantra chanting and yoga nidra. Anna will lead us through some Sanskrit mantra chanting and English folk songs for a blissful hour, before Astrid will guide us into a luxurious 30 mins yoga nidra.

This Weekend Workshop is designed to combine the restorative and uplifting powers of both mantra chanting, singing, and yoga nidra, accompanied by sound and instrumentation, to connect deeply into the vagus nerve, connect to yourself, and to the wider universe and whatever your spiritual connection is.

All are welcome! Come chant and chill with us!

Tickets: £12

What is Yoga Nidra?

If you’ve never done yoga nidra before, some say it’s like an extended Savasana, but really it’s a lying down hypnotic form of guided meditation where the mind is brought into a trance-like state and the body is sent off to sleep.

Through breath awareness, body scans, visualisations and more, the experience of yoga nidra is a magical liminal state of consciousness where you linger in the deliciously creative, healing, and restorative place between wakefulness and sleep.

Excellent for those who find meditation challenging, but also a great compliment to a meditation practice. Ideal for people who find it hard to rest, be still, or fall asleep, it’s an incredible energy recharge which you can use to replace a power nap, and experience a sense of nurturing, peaceful rest.
